Remote Learning Offer
At Rode Heath, we are committed to ensuring that all pupils continue to receive high-quality education during periods when attending school on site is not possible. This Remote Learning Statement outlines our approach to supporting learning in situations such as:
School closures or partial closures where access to the school site is restricted.
Individual cases where a pupil is unable to attend school but is well enough to continue learning from home (e.g., short-term illness, isolation, medical circumstances).

Our remote learning provision aims to:

Where pupils are required to learn from home, the school will provide:
Daily learning activities that reflect the subjects taught in school, including English, maths, and a range of foundation subjects.
Recorded or live teaching, where appropriate, or high-quality learning resources aligned with classroom teaching.
Paper-based learning packs for families without access to suitable devices or internet.
3. Expectations for Pupils
Pupils working remotely are expected to:
Engage with the learning activities provided each day.
Submit work or share learning with their teacher as requested.
Ask for help when needed through approved school communication channels.
4. Support for Parents and Carers
We recognise the vital role of parents and carers in supporting remote learning. The school will:
Provide clear instructions for accessing digital platforms.
Offer guidance on routines, expectations, and how to support learning at home.
Maintain regular communication through email, phone calls, or platform messages.

7. Safeguarding and Online Safety
The school continues to follow all safeguarding policies and procedures during periods of remote learning. Pupils and families will be reminded of safe and appropriate online behaviour. Any concerns will be reported to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
