Year 5 Remote Learning 2020 - 2021
I am passionate about teaching and learning. I firmly believe in ensuring that children have access to a broad curriculum that enables them to have rich learning experiences, making connections between subjects in a real-life context. I have taught across both Key Stages and enjoy them for entirely different reasons. When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family; my two little boys keep me very busy. We spend the majority of our time outdoors on adventures far and wide.
I have volunteered at Rode Heath in the past, across the Key Stages, and have thoroughly enjoyed it.
Outside of school I am a leader at Beaver Scouts in the local village. I have two boys and we love adventuring, riding bikes, paddle boarding and reading. I also love photography so I take lots of photos of what we get up to.
I am absolutely thrilled to be in Year 5 this year with your fantastic children.
Dear Parents & Carers,
From Monday 11th January
We have now deviated from our original plan of covering the Vikings. This will form part of Spring term 2. For this half term we are going to use a new version of Hansel and Gretel as a stimulus of our remote learning. From this book, we will cover all aspects of the curriculum.
Please see the bottom of this page for our remote learning timetable. PLEASE refer to this as this will form the structure of our weekly lessons and will set out when and how we are teaching/ providing activities for the children to complete.
We have also included a See Saw parent guide and a video guide, too. I will upload all of the children's work via See Saw and will use teams as our platform for live learning. The teams link can be found on the timetable document and below:
Please carry on using Timestable rockstars, Ed Shed and Renaissance to quiz on books that you have read at home.

We hope you stay safe and well.
