Year 4 Home Learning 2019 - 2020

Mrs Pecora

Mrs Pecora

I am very excited to be teaching Year 4 this year.
I have a passion for travelling, experiencing different cultures and especially indulging in their food. Fortunately, another of my great loves is exercise from skiing to yoga (so it balances itself out …most of the time).
I also enjoy the performing arts and very much look forward to getting involved in the Rode Heath productions.

I am passionate about education and try to make learning fun in my classroom. Children need to be motivated to learn well. Outside the classroom my other passion is for horses of which I am lucky enough to own two. I also have a Rhodesian Ridgeback called Kito.

I have volunteered at Rode Heath in the past, across the Key Stages, and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Outside of school I am a leader at Beaver Scouts in the local village. I have two boys and we love adventuring, riding bikes, paddle boarding and reading. I also love photography so I take lots of photos of what we get up to.

I am absolutely thrilled to be in Year 4 this year with your fantastic children.

To all in Year 4,

Thank you so much for the emails. It is wonderful hearing from you and we're enjoying the photos and videos you are sending. Great work!  Keep them coming.

We hope that you are all well and keeping busy during your time at home. We will keep updating the home learning challenges each week with 4 days worth of challenges, with 3 activities per day (see the bottom of this website for the daily challenges).  Although we recommend completing the challenges in order and one a day, it is entirely up to you how or when you complete these challenges.  If you want some extra work then these websites below are fantastic:

* Congratulations to those who have completed a Renaissance quiz in the last week, scoring above 80%: Freya, Evie, Emilia, Emily, Ethan, Noah J, Alicia, Lucy, Eva, Jamie, Corey, Aaron and Daisy* laugh Brilliant!

Also welll done to those children for spending such a great deal of time over the past week practising your times tables on TimesTables Rockstars.

If you are using Renaissance, remember to check if your book is on there, this includes any books you have read from home.  Should you need to change your books, email us at We will then arrange for how to do this.

Remember to be kind and stay positive. We are looking forward to when we all meet up again.

Finally, we would love to know what you are getting up to, what you are reading at the moment or how you have completed some of the challenges or your own projects. Please send us an email if you can; the web address is below. If you send us a picture, then we'll display these on our class web page.

See you all soon!
