Mrs Adams

I have more than 20 years experience, working with young children across Early Years and Key Stage 1. I am passionate about giving children the best possible start to their school life and helping them to learn through creative and meaningful contexts.

It’s a privilege to return to Rode Heath and I look forward to working closely with you and your children over the coming year.

I have worked at Rode Heath School for many years now, mainly in KS1. I am excited to be working in Reception for the second time. I thoroughly enjoy being part of all of the exciting learning opportunities which Rode Heath has to offer. Outside of school I love to go exploring outdoors with my two children Archie and Elsie.

Dear Parents & Carers,

w/c Monday 22nd February 2021

Welcome back!  We hope you all had a restful half-term break from Home Learning.

Live Phonics - You will receive an email with a Zoom link for your child in advance of their session.  Please make sure they have their whiteboard and pen ready. Please contact us if you have any problems and we'll do our best to help.

Friday Storytime - You will receive an email during this week with a Zoom link for your child to attend on Friday at 2.30pm in advance of their session.

All children will have new reading books available for collection between 11.00am and 2.00pm on Tuesday 23rd February.

Please return ALL outstanding books in your named plastic wallet, when you collect new ones as we are still extremely short of books in some phases. We are also struggling to keep track of book returns due to the number of loose, unnamed books in the returns box each week.  Please help us to run the book exchange effieciently by ensuring ALL returns are named, preferably by returning them in your plastic wallet.

Children in school will have their books changed as usual.

Our remote learning timetable is at the bottom of this page.  Please refer to this as this will form the structure of our weekly lessons and will set out when and how we are teaching/ providing activities for the children to complete.

Your daily challenges and resources are available to view / download at the bottom of this page.

Here is a link to our story 'The Jolly Postman', which you might find useful over the next few weeks.

The Jolly Postman meets lots of characters from other stories, so we will also add links to those stories as we use them over the next few weeks.  This week we are moving on to the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.  Click on the picture below to watch a video of the story.  There are also PowerPoint, Ebook and an Audiobook versions of the story available at https://www.twinkl.co.uk/go - use the PIN code QW6418 to access them.
